Life With Baby Harlow

Baby Harlow joined our family two weeks ago. In that time, she has definitely mixed things up. Hadley and Cambri have absolutely loved having a little sister. They have adjusted quite well to Harlow, and love giving her attention. It has been interesting and fun to see how each of them show that attention in their own way. 

Cambri likes to pretend that she is still a little baby, and it's weird to think that just a couple of years ago she was swaddled and laying in that little bed thing. 

Hadley, on the other hand, has shown her love by being the entertainment. She likes to show Harlow her toys, and will sing and dance for her. She's essentially the baby's jester. 

Cambri always asks to hold Harlow, and has become the unofficial keeper of her pacifier. She is always quick to make sure Harlow has it when she starts getting fussy. 

Meemaw stayed around for a week to help out while we settled in. She was a big help, especially taking Harlow at night so Emily and I could get some rest.

The girls were tasked with walking on Meemaw's back, but turned it into toddler WWE.

She might not always show it, but Hadley sure does love her little sister, and has been a big help.

Both girls have been great assistants.

The girls also love when it's tummy time, and they can get all up in Harlow's business even more than usual.

Gma and Gpa stopped by on their way to and from their exclusive James Taylor concert to get some baby 

And at long last, Cambri finally warmed up to Gpa and gave him all the attention he could ever hope for.

Harlow's first bath was actually pretty chill.

The girls were pretty excited about this lady bug they found.

We tried our hand at homemade spaghetti noodles, and they seemed to be a success.

She has been sleeping A LOT, but never for more than 2-3 hours at a time. The hope is soon we will be able to increase the amount of formula at each feeding, and she'll go longer between bottles. This is especially our hope during the night.

Never did I ever expect to be the dad to just girls, but here we are, and I'm loving it. At least for now, the teenage years might change that.

Meanwhile, Hadley and Cambri have been playing pretty well together. They still bicker and fight with each other, but they clearly like playing together.
