We went down for the usual 3 hours before game time to soak in the stadium's empty atmosphere. They didn't have music going during batting practice, so it was extra soothing to be able to hear every crack of the bat. Even Emily said she likes the sound it makes when the ball meets the bat.
Emily really only wanted two things out of this game; a hot dog and an ice cream sandwich. We went to the Sausage Company stand for the hot dog, and I don't recommend it.
After the second inning we went to find the ice cream sandwiches. Frozen Rope Ice Cream is what we found, where you can choose from six different cookies and/or a brownie. Then you have to decide which of the five flavors of ice cream you want. After that, it's the impossible choice of which candy to roll it in. We both chose Butterfinger. It was obviously slow night, because the lady was very generous with the portions. She freakin' loaded these things with two and half scoops of ice cream.
It was a good night out in the middle of the week. We didn't have anyone in front, behind, or even next to us. We had three rows to ourselves. Mariners lost though.
