So, Hadley has been to Safeco Field twice, the first time was for Pres. Nelson's devotional, and the second was for the Christmas lights. Finally, she's been to the ballpark for an actual baseball game.
She got all done up in her outfit from Aunt Whit, and of course she looked absolutely adorable.
She roamed the rows like she owned the place, crawling up on each seat or turning them into her own personal drum set.
We got in an hour early as part of the season ticket hold appreciation
day. We got a scratch and play card and Emily won a chance to spin a
wheel and won Edgar's Hall of Fame bobblehead. I won a free cheese steak. The cheese steak was actually quite good, Hadley stood right next to me as I ate it and kept begging for scraps, she obviously was loving the thin sliced steak covered in cheese. As good as it was, I don't think I could ever bring myself to paying the $13 for it.
We tried to put her hat on her, but she still isn't a fan of it. She immediately took it off, so quick that it was difficult to get a picture of her with it on.
The temperature started to drop quick, and Hadley needed bundled up. She wasn't a fan of the mittens, but since she couldn't get them off, she dealt with it.
Can you hear the sound of muffled bongos?
While we were out walking the concourse looking for garlic fries and hot dogs, we ran into a familiar face. Jason came and sat with us until the game started and we were able to talk about the good ol' days when he lived in Wenatchee and we went to a few games together. As you can clearly see, Hadley was having a ball.
This game also happened to be an Ichiro Funko Pop giveaway. We had also bought the Oktoberfest tickets, so we got a Mariners stein as we were leaving. We got quite the haul this game.
I was surprised how big this stein is. The thing is the size of my head. It's like a half-gallon.
