Damon & Sarah Come To Town

 Emily's brother, Damon, and his wife, Sarah, made a big loop through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana before returning to Utah. Along their route they stopped and stayed to visit us for a few days. The girls were excited to have them visit so they could show off all their skills, talents, noises, and toys to someone new. Damon and Sarah were more than happy to play along and hopefully they enjoyed receiving and giving the attention these girls demanded of them.

"So, this is children, huh?" Sarah sighed as she pretended to eat yet another imaginary donut.

"I guess. When do they start taking care of themselves?" Asked Damon as Cambri demanded yet again that she be pushed up the roller coaster ramp.

No, that conversation didn't really happen...out loud, at least. The girls really did enjoy playing around with their aunt and uncle, and that enjoyment was mutual. The girls were a bit of a change of pace from their nephews down in Utah, but the energy is still just as high. 

An evening of painting rocks turned into a game of hide and go seek. In the backyard there are only so many places one can hide, so the challenge wasn't crazy difficult.

"Where's Hadley?"

Give yourself a pat on the back if you can find her.

Cambri sure does love painting rocks, and not getting the paint anywhere else.

Since Damon served his mission in Germany, Emily thought it would be fun to take him to Leavenworth, the Bavarian capitol of Washington. The girls are always up for some sausage dogs. 

They walked around and looked at some of the shops. One of them is called A Matter Of Taste, and it has some hot sauces to sample, so it's customary to go and try the hottest one and act all tough until you break down and need to run down the street to the closet gas station to buy some milk. Damon knows this now, too.

The girls sniffed out a nearby park to play on until Damon and Sarah returned with some sausage dogs for lunch.

The girls always enjoy their time in Leavenworth, mostly because they know it will most likely always end with Cold Stone.

It was fun having Damon and Sarah stay with us. The girls especially liked the attention and someone besides the usuals to interact with.
