Our little twerpedo turned 3. And what an adventure the last 3 years have been with her. She can be extremely stubborn, which in turn brings frustration, but holy freakin' crap is she awesome. She brings an amazing energy to our family, but at the same time can be super chill. We are truly blessed to have her in our lives.
Hadley has really been into princesses and Mickey Mouse type stuff, that Emily was going to make her a princess cake for her birthday. When we were getting some groceries in Birch Bay, Hadley saw a cake that looked like a beach as we passed by the bakery. Ever since then she has constantly been asking for a beach cake when asked what kind she wanted.
Anytime you start making something in the kitchen, the girls want to assume their position right along next to you to act as the taste testers.
It turned out great! Even including some chocolate Teddy Grahams working on their tans.
For her birthday, we went to the Snohomish Aquatic Center so the girls could swim and play on the little splash playground. On our way home we stopped at Alfy's for some pizza. The girls love their pizza. They also love garlic cheesy bread, too.
She loved her cake, and started singing happy birthday before the rest of us.
Meemaw came for the festivities and gifted Hadley a Minnie Mouse dress. Of course she had to put it on right away.
She also got a doll and a little kitchen with tons of plastic food and utensils.
Grandma, Grandpa, and Rissa showed up the next day to deliver even more gifts.

Hadley is amazing. She loves to sing and dance, go for walks, play with other kids, watch her shows, color, paint, do experiments with her mom, play hide-and-go-seek, and explore outside.
Over the last year she has made incredible progress with her speech and is improving every day. For a while there we were a little concerned when she wouldn't really talk much or pronounce words clearly, but she has surprised us with just how much she knows.
We love how happy of a kid she is.
I love coming home from work and being greeted by her excitement. She tells Emily "daddy's home" and gives me a big hug. She sure does make us happy.

The girls always enjoy having family visit. They always enjoy the attention they get. Meemaw stayed through the weekend and allowed Emily and me to go have a night to ourselves in Lynnwood where we ate cheese cake and tried to catch up on sleep.
As has become customary when family visits, the girls took Meemaw to the Sultan River so they could walk in the water and throw rocks.
And hopefully one of these days Cambri will stop sucking on the rocks before she throws them.
