35 Weeks

Emily is at the 35 week mark, and is to the point where she is done. She is experiencing a bit of back discomfort, as well as stomach discomfort, and not because of the Taco Bell from the other day.

A few weeks ago she was told she had gestational diabetes, so was given some meds for it. She also needs to test her blood sugar levels multiple times a day, and drive to Everett once a week for monitoring and to check in with the dietician lady. This is obviously a pain, but it's always good to hear the baby is doing fine. The fear is the baby will balloon and get too big, but for now they have told Emily the baby is proportionate (meaning she isn't a Michelin baby) and measuring two weeks ahead.

At 35 weeks the baby is the size of honeydew melon, which puts her roughly at 18 inches and 5-ish lbs.

The ultrasounds they print off for Emily of the baby haven't exactly been very flattering.

We're getting there, and pretty excited to meet this little one.
