Cider 2019

The weekend before Thanksgiving is traditionally the weekend everyone gets together to make cider. We decided to run over real quick this weekend and join in on the festivities.

Hadley had an absolute blast playing with her cousins. She is a very social kid, and for the most part she plays really well with other kids. This gave her another opportunity to play with someone other than just Emily and me. 

Friday was Gpa Leo's 100th birthday.  So, to celebrate, we had milkshakes, obviously. 

Hadley sat on Emily's lap and sucked that thing down. She loves her milk, ice cream, and chocolate, so it was really no surprise that she would enjoy all of it combined in milkshakey goodness.

Saturday morning was pretty nice and relaxing. We made a quick trip into Walmart to grab some things, then came back and just hung out. Hadley enjoyed some cousin time with Jensley, who obviously knows the way to Hadley's conditional love is Little Baby Bum.

Saturday afternoon we headed over to Manson Growers to make cider.  Hadley saw all the open space to run around and took full advantage of it. Lydia offered to take the first shift, and chased Hadley around and made sure she didn't run anywhere she wasn't supposed to. 

Emily then put Hadley to work. She did a great job of loading up the boxes to take over to the press. 

Hadley had a blast crawling among the apples. Afterwards it was time to enjoy the product. To go along with the cider, Aunt Janet brought over some warm donuts that were very good. Hadley was offered a donut hole and popped the whole thing in her mouth. The next time she was offered a donut hole, she reached around to grab one of the full-size donuts. 

She very much enjoyed the cider. Seeing her run around and having so much fun with her cousins made the trip very much worth it.  

Because Emily had to be back for primary, and I had to be back for Young Men's, we went back to mom and dad's for dinner, gave Hadley a bath, and drove back to Everett that night. 

It was a great trip, and even though it was pretty short, we were able to pack in a lot of fun with a lot of people.
