Swan Trail Farms

One thing these girls love is a good pumpkin patch, and in our adventure to try a different pumpkin patch each year, we found ourselves at Swan Trail Farms.

The girls got started on the ropes course, or whatever kind of playground structure it was.

Harlow was more interested in everything else, like the zipline or tractor pull.

So, she became a runner while Hadley and Cambri played on the ropes course.

Eventually the girls made it over to the tricycles and tried to do some offroading.

Harlow took off towards the corn maze, and it was Emily's turn to run her down this time. Harlow is at the weird stage where her running speed is just slightly faster than your typical walking pace, so you have to do this awkward power-walking thing to keep up, before you eventually have to run to grab the kid. Yeah, so that's been fun, especially when we go outside in front of our house and she bolts across the lawn and down the sidewalk as soon as she gets through the front door and down the step.

Next up was meeting Li'l Sebastian.

We then went over to the gunny sack racing slides. It took a little convincing, but the girls eventually went down after Emily climbed up to the top. It doesn't really show it on their faces, but they thought it was fun.

PVC slide was the next stop on our way over to the inflatable bouncy thing.

I don't know what this bouncy thing is called, but the girls sure enjoyed it.

Harlow never made it to the top, but she was giggling a lot just being on the side.

And then eventually just sat and played with the pebbles. 

The girls really enjoyed this corn box, filled with dried kernels. Like, a corn sandbox. 

Harlow especially enjoyed when we tried to bury her.

This one was a big hit.

The girls got to the point where they were starting to run out of energy, so we stopped by the country store to rehydrate and refuel in the form of apple cider donuts.

Hadley kept seeing this tall haystack, and made it her mission to climb to the top, which didn't take very long.

After all the activities, it was time to head over to the pumpkin patch.

It's always fun and interesting to see the types of pictures I can get while I setup the camera and tripod.

It's really difficult to get a picture where everyone is paying attention, smiling, and/or posing somewhat normal. 

They may not be perfect pictures, but they show who these girls are and helps highlight their personalities. So, I can appreciate that.

So, you just got to go with it and have fun.

Show your teeth, Emily took that one to another level. What's funny, is that's the only picture Hadley and Cambri both looked at the camera and gave a somewhat normal pose with smiles. Then you got Emily over there aggressively showing her teeth.

Man, these girls sure don't lack personality.

After the pumpkin patch, we headed over to Brava's Pizza for dinner. It's not the best pizza, but it's like the only family-friendly sitdown pizza place in Snohomish. So, it's usually where we end up because it's easy.  The girls are usually pretty good, but for some reason that night they were absolutely hyped up gremlins or something. It was probably one of the more stressful dinners out that we've had in a long time. But, memories, right?
