Cambri Turns Four

At the tail end of spring break, we celebrated Cambri's birthday. Meemaw and Dwight's family were still in town to enjoy the festivities. It was a great way to end the week.

For her birthday dinner, Cambri requested eggs. I don't know. I scrabbled some eggs, make some french toast, a few waffles, and cooked up some bacon. So, we had breakfast for dinner. Then Cambri didn't even really eat her eggs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cambri wanted a rainbow cake this year. Emily practiced a couple of times leading up to Cambri's birthday to make sure she would get it right. She had issues with the frosting each time she practiced, so she was getting a little anxious. For the final cake she made a slight adjustment to the frosting and absolutely nailed it. 

Cambri was pretty excited with how it turned out.

She was very eager to open her presents.

Crewe looks like he was ready for the show to be over.

It was a very successful birthday. She even had some presents show up a few days later to keep things going.

We took her birthday pictures in Manson on a recent trip. She's quite the character when she poses for pictures.

Cambri is a unique creature, and even though that means a lot of frustration at times, she is incredibly sweet, helpful, caring, protective, and fierce. The dynamic she brings to our family can be intense, but I can't imagine it without her. She has a smile that could power a fallout shelter in the event of a nuclear attack. But she's also the nuclear bomb. So she's essentially the plot of Fallout? Anyway, we love her and plan to keep her around for a long while. Happy birthday, little girl!
