Harlow's 2nd Birthday

Our little Harlow turned 2. Her personality has really blossomed this last year, and she has turned into quite a goofy and happy little kid. Every time you tell her no, she does this little pout that makes you feel bad. It's been interesting to see how I consider each of our kids to be funny or silly, but they each show it in different ways, it's pretty neat to see. Harlow, for example, is more physical in her comedy. By that I mean she seems willing to throw herself around, get dirty, or do little dances to express her silliness. 

Case in point, she loved just diving into their little pool. 

The girls also thought it was pretty funny to give Emily hugs while soaking wet.

We enjoyed some good outside time with the sprinkler on the trampoline, little pool, and the water table.

"1, 3, go!"

Gma and Gpa drove over to spend the day with us and join in on the festivities.

Gma showed Cambri how to volley, and Harlow got in on the action as well.

Harlow likes rice, so I made some beef and broccoli. As always, she was more interested in Emily's bowl than her own.

This kid absolutely loves Bluey right now. It's the only show she will watch, and she gets really excited any time she sees anything Bluey related.

Emily made up some delicious cupcakes topped with some Bluey figurines. Instead of traditional frosting, she took the cream typically used as filling and put it on the cupcakes. It was awesome. 

It's always pretty adorable to see how happy and excited toddlers get when you sing happy birthday to them. 

Harlow loved the frosting the most, obviously.

Then came the presents. Hadley and Cambri kind of took over. We had to remind them multiple times that these were Harlow's presents and she got to open them.

They didn't listen, and while Hadley and Cambri opened one present, Harlow moved on to the next.

And yes, pretty much everything she got had to do with Bluey.

The girls would see something at the store and say, "we have to get that for Harlow's birthday!" 

I can't state enough how much of a blessing it is to have Harlow in our family. She's a little pipe bomb filled with joy and excitement. As her personality expands and her speaking improves, I can't wait to see what else we can get out of her.
