Six Months

Our Crewe Boy has made it half a year! The little guy just keeps smiling more and more, and that has been an absolute joy to see. Who doesn't love a happy baby?

At his 6-month appointment, he came in weighing in the 45-ish percentile, while his height was only the 14th. Which, kind of surprised me, because based on the other babies that were born around the same time, it's not like he's noticeably shorter or anything. Anyway, he also sounded like he had some trouble breathing, so he was prescribed a little inhaler for a couple of days to hopefully clear him up.

He is now able to sit on his own for a long while before he ultimately topples over, and then he just rolls or does this scrunch and extend thing to move around. If he sees a toy or pacifier nearby, he does a pretty good job of working towards it.

We've started him on baby food, and even though it takes him a little while to decide whether he likes it or not, he gets to a point where he tries to let us know he wants more. Not green beans, though, he wasn't having any of that.

I often need Emily to wrangle Harlow while we take Crewe's picture. Otherwise she'd be right next to him in every one.

Crewe's doing great, and what's also fun right now is he's becoming a little ticklish, and he hasn't quite found his laugh yet, so he makes a sort of laugh/screech sound.
